A Letter From Wendy
You made it here, and that matters more than you may realize.
For more than 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of working at the intersection of trauma, mental health, organizational wellbeing, and human experience. During that time, I’ve sat with individuals, couples, families, children, teens, leaders, and teams in moments of vulnerability, transition, and profound change. Whether in therapy rooms, hospital programs, community agencies, college counselling centres, private practice, or remote northern communities, I’ve witnessed the quiet courage it takes to show up when life feels overwhelming.
My clinical work has been shaped by decades of supporting people through trauma, PTSD, attachment injuries, eating disorders, complex emotional wounds, grief, addictions, codependency, anxiety, depression, burnout, and relationship distress. I’ve worked across non-profit community care, children’s mental health programs, hospital treatment units, post-secondary settings, private practice, and rural and remote communities. As an EMDR Certified Therapist, I practice with a trauma-informed, relational, and deeply attuned approach that honours both the mind and the nervous system.
Alongside direct clinical care, I’ve spent many years supporting workplaces and organizational systems. My work in EAP roles grew into organizational consulting and later becoming a CISD Team Lead in Ontario, where I supported staff and leaders during high-stress or emotionally impactful events. Across BC and Ontario, I facilitated mental health education, specialized training, and trauma-informed consultation to strengthen psychological safety and wellbeing within teams.
As a trainer, educator, and clinical supervisor, I’ve guided emerging clinicians, supported multidisciplinary teams, and developed workshops on trauma, emotional regulation, attachment and relational dynamics, eating disorders, leadership stress, and supporting teams through challenge and change. These roles have allowed me to help people and organizations build steadier, more compassionate systems of care.
All of these experiences led to evolve.
I created this practice so people could access therapy that feels meaningful, steady, and deeply human. A place where clients feel seen and supported — not minimized, rushed, or expected to “hold it all together.” A place where clinicians can practice with integrity, presence, and clinical depth.
A place grounded in compassion, clarity, and the belief that healing is possible.
Today, evolve is home to a team of dedicated therapists offering in-depth psychotherapy for individuals, couples, children, teens, families, and organizations.
We honour your pace.
We respect your story.
And we walk with you — steadily and compassionately — as you move toward clarity, healing, and reconnection with yourself and the people who matter most.
Thank you for being here.
It truly matters.
With warmth,
