“Trauma creates change you don’t choose. Healing creates change you do.” - Michelle Rosenthal
I am a Registered Social Worker and Child and Youth Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting children and families through challenges such as trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and attachment difficulties. I also work closely with families navigating major life changes, including divorce, illness, or the loss of a loved one.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that unresolved childhood trauma often carries forward into adulthood, affecting daily functioning and relationships until it is met with compassion and healing. For this reason, I also support adults who are seeking to understand and work through the impact of unresolved trauma in their lives.
In my practice, I draw on holistic and evidence-based approaches such as EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, and Attachment-Focused Therapy. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where children, adults, and families can heal and strengthen their relationships with themselves and each other.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy travelling, spending time with my two dogs, planning parties and celebrations, and supporting local restaurants “one meal at a time!”
